Dream Valley Corporation’s Aayirathil Oruvan, starring Karthi, Reema Sen, Andrea and Parthiban and directed by Selvaraghavan that has been in the making for nearly two years, is getting ready for release. The film’s story is kept under wraps and so and there is a lot of excitement surrounding the release. Parthiban is said to have played a historic war hero’s role. G.V. Prakash’s music is one of the chief highlights of the film. There are nearly ten songs and instrumental mixes in the album.

The album begins with the combination of celebrities singing in ‘Un Mela Aasadhan’. As we hear the launching lines, the excitement increases and continues till the end. Stylish and casual rendition by Andrea, Aishwarya Dhansuh and Dhanush marks the song. ‘The King arrives’ by Neil Mukherjee (Madras Augustin Choir) is an instrumental extravaganza. ‘Thaai Thindra Mannae’, the Cholan Ecstasy by Nithyashree Mahadevan, Vijay Yesudas and Sri Krishna, is an exciting combination of dialogues and exchanges in chaste Tamil followed by a slow-paced classical rendition. The song is repeated in Vijay’s voice. In that version also, the mood is sorrow, painful and very touching. ‘Malai Neram’ by G.V. Prakash and Andrea is a romantic number. Andrea’s voice has the extra magical feel in it and GVP’s addition accentuates it. ‘Intha Paadhai’, a solo by GVP, touches and warms listeners’ hearts. Both the tempo and rhythm are slow and soothing. GVP’s voice adds to the touching melody. The difference between ‘Oh Eesa’ the club Mix and the composer’s mix sung by Andrea and Karthik is that the latter has a desi touch in its style of presentation. ‘Penmaanae’ is in Bombay Jayashree and P.B. Srinivas’ voices; the song begins with an elaborate alaap by Jayashree which continues with her delicate rendition. The sad emotion wraps up the album.

Now that the Producers’ Council of Bollywood has decided to stop the releases in multiplexes after 3rd of April, the actors from the industry have also promised their adherence to them. The biggies from the Bollywood such as Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and many other have sent their letters promising their support towards them.

Tasveer 8×10 is the title of Akshay Kumar’s paranormal thriller, which is scheduled to hit the theaters on 3rd of April. Akshay has been lucky this time, as the ban on releasing movies in the multiplexes will be imposed from 4th of April by the Producers council, and Tasveer will come just one day ahead.

Preity Zinta’s Videsh, which is scheduled to release on 27th of March, has been given A certificate by the Censor board. Videsh is the directorial venture of Deepa Mehta, and has Preity Zinta in the lead role.

After the astounding success of Naan Kadavul, actor Arya has got several projects for his intense performance in the movie. Arya now is well set in Kollywood. Now the actor has taken up an interesting venture in Tollywood.

Sundar. C known for giving releases in quick succession has taken enough time by his standards to deliver his next, and now is all set for it. Last release of Sundar C ‘Aayudham Seivom’ didn’t give him enough reasons to cheer about.

Not many people have the strength to craft their own scripts without caring about what the other have to say about them. Director Bala certainly is one of them. With a long run of 3 years for the making of Naan Kadavul, with lots of controversies surrounding his project, a change of hero in the film, and considering 3 or more heroines for the same were the things which obstructed Bala’s way to completing Naan Kadavul.

Kadhalna Summa Illa, from the title it becomes clear that the movie will be along the love lines, as the title. Though the movie is about love and friendship, and what enters our lives first. With the starcast of two male leads played by Sarvanand from Telugu film industry and Ravikrishna and one leading lady played by Kamalinee Mukherjee, the film gives the feel of a love triangle, but it cant be said certainly.

Sports based movies are rarely made in the industry, but the immense success of Chennai 28 has changed this fact in recent past. The number of movies, which used sports to take the story forward, can be counted easily in Kollywood and Bollywood. And those, which have been made, have been cricket oriented only. Though there was a deviation with Ghilli in 2004, which was based on Kabadi. Now after five years of release of Ghilli, another Kabadi oriented movie is ready to hit the silver screens.
